Challenges of Winter During a Pandemic and Violence
Let's help Afghans in a time of pandemic, poverty, and increased daily violence
Following its successful COVID-19 fundraising, A-AWA collected another $5000 in donations (November 2020) and ready for distribution to recent victims of bombing/terroristic attacks through its partners on ground, AWEC and AWN. Additionally, another $6000 is also going to reach needy people through A-AWA and Rabia’s Daughters Project. The need is enormous this winter; therefore, A-AWA is continuing its effort to ensure we’re helping what we can during this exceptional crisis – we aim at another $5000. A-AWA hopes to do its share as part of the aspiring efforts inside and outside Afghanistan. Please be part of this effort and help someone “eat free”, “dress free”, “breath free”! As an incentive, we offer you free membership for the year 2020-2021 if your donation amount exceeds $50. Previous Fundraising
A-AWA’s donations ($10,000) raised previously (June, 2020) are already distributed to assist women and children who are supporting their families but are no longer able to work on the streets to earn their daily wages – some of these families have elderly, sick and disabled members. This help was directly distributed through our grassroots partners’ AWEC and AWN. Also, more funding ($16,600) reached needy people through A-AWA and Rabia’s Daughters project.
“BREATH FREE” CAMPAIGN, COVID-19, 2020
Only together, we can overcome this global challenge.
In response to COVID-19 situation in Afghanistan, A-AWA continues fundraising to ensure we’re helping what we can during this exceptional crisis. This time we would like to support oxygen factories that have gone out of their way to produce and distribute free oxygen to poor people who can’t afford it. A-AWA partner NGO’s on the ground will assist with monitoring the transfer and usage of funds to most needy cases in need of help. As we all know, the need is great and A-AWA appreciates any small or big efforts already launched in the community. A-AWA hopes to do its share as part of the aspiring efforts inside and outside Afghanistan during this difficult humanitarian crisis. This time our goal is $5000!
